When I contributed, the goal was far away. Luckily, by a mere $130, they succeeded!

I'm excited to see the finished project.

Spending time in Africa, watching continental television, and talking to Africans of a wide variety, I developed an appreciation for the widespread oogie boogie folkloric tales. Today, after a day of watching how human nature is, I returned to browsing through forums of filmmakers and found a blurb by Jordan about his IndieGoGo campaign and ended up giving some money to be a part of this interesting production.

My first venture into microfunding art projects. About every month I get a long and eloquent update on progress. I can't wait to see the final project. But, I suppose I'll have to wait another six months minimum, or over a year since I gave cash to help another person realize their dream.

Back in 2011 I contributed to see this documentary about hip-hop in Mongolia complete post production. It didn't succeed in reaching what I think is too high of a goal. But, I ended up repeating my contribution via Paypal and chatted with the director about his experiences making the film.

A few weeks ago, when last I was at my parents' house, my mother and I went through boxes of old, older and very very old photos of family, some dating back to before my grandparents. This project, of remembering and revisiting memories touched me so I contributed to see it further along in its process.

Simply interesting, so my little contribution hopefully will stack up with lots of others and help this see the light of day sooner than later.
